First Grade students were read the wonderful story, The Dot by Peter Reynolds. The Dot is a story that reaffirms we are all artists and you just need to start with a single mark and see where it takes you. After hearing the story, students made a small dot on their Art Portfolios and then made it bigger and better by adding more colors and letting the colors overlap to create new colors.
